Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard surfaces

A resurgent Daniil Medvedev secured his first trophy for over two years with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.

The Russian, a former number one, has experienced a difficult period, winning just one match at the major tournaments and experiencing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.

The player's varied form on the professional circuit - and issues with his serve in especial - led to him falling of the top ten and finally separating with former trainer his previous coach.

Now training with Johansson and his other coach, the tennis star has consistently advanced in the past month - peaking in a tightly fought three-set win over challenger Moutet.

It is the player's initial championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court after spring of the previous year.

Success also means the Russian has achieved 21 championships at 21 various tournaments.

"For the first time I have attended a tournament with my children at once, so to get a championship is especially meaningful," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.

"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I won when my first daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."

The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his past six finals, including in that event previously this season.

His retrieving approach and recurring reactions on court had prompted commentators to doubt if his skill to perform at the top level was finished.

Yet the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, striving to come to the net and compete assertively, backed up by an enhanced serve.

The champion fought back from a break down in the initial set against the difficult Frenchman, winning four of the concluding five exchanges to take the lead.

The pair traded service breaks in the following set before the challenger, attempting for his maiden ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to force a third set.

He saved 4 early break points in a tight third set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to close out the victory.

Appropriately, he secured the win with a point at the net, with Moutet incapable to manage a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
