The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
